Casa de Esperanza Newsletter

March, 2007

Forrest and Sally Hoglund never even hesitated when they were asked to head up Casa’s capital campaign two years ago. The campaign, dedicated to funding the new Casa neighborhood, has been a tremendous undertaking. The Hoglunds, however, believed it was such an important mission and they have committed themselves to making the campaign a success. Because of their leadership, ten homes for children will soon be built.

Mrs. Hoglund says, “It’s been wonderful experience to be able to tell the Casa story and have the community embrace this so easily. We have so enjoyed being part of this effort to provide a neighborhood setting for the children Casa care for.”

“Casa de Esperanza is a well run organization offering a high quality of care for young children. They have a history of managing their money well and the community recognizes the importance of offering this service for children,” says Hoglund.

For their unwavering support, the Hoglunds are receiving the Paul Daugherty Award. It is named for the person who first provided seed money for Casa to begin its work with children. Bill Jones, Casa’s Associate Director, says “the award exemplifies the spirit of giving – and that’s the Hoglunds. They’ve provided invaluable support.”

For the Hoglunds, receiving the award is extra special. Mrs. Hoglund says, “We are so flattered. This recognition coming from Casa really means something. The work they do is so important. We think Casa is an “A” number 1 organization and we are proud to be associated with them.”
